Anne, at California School of Podiatric Medicine, is
planning to celebrate her big day in Texas. She will
be changing from her traditional white shoes after the
ceremony into a different pair of shoes that match her
Indian clothes for the reception at her multicultural
wedding. She is excited to go to India in a few months to
find her bridal lehenga, a formal dress worn for special
occasions in many South Asian cultures.
Allison, at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, got
married in Newport, Rhode Island. She remembers
wearing a pair of bridal shoes with a flat sole throughout
the day, perfect for her rectus type. When I asked her
to mention one challenge she encountered during her
shopping experience she mentioned that the majority of
bridal shoes were not true to size which made it more
difficult to find the right pair of shoes for her big day.
Olivia, at California School of Podiatric Medicine, is in the
process of looking for shoes for her neutral foot type. She
and her fiancé chose to get married at Larc Hill Vineyard
Ranch in Lake Chelan, Washington. She describes the
venue to be her dream place as she is from Seattle. She is
aiming for both fashion and comfort when choosing her
bridal shoes. A pair of beautiful heels for the ceremony and
a pair of sneakers for dancing during the reception.
Jennifer, a third year at Temple University School of
Podiatric Medicine, remembers loving to wear tall heels and
stilettos before entering the world of podiatry. But for her
wedding, she says that " having the right amount of support
in [her] shoes was non-negotiable, especially since [she's]
having an outdoor wedding. " Jennifer and her wife decided
to wear heels only for the official ceremony and following
pictures before changing into their Converse sneakers.
Their beautiful wedding was in Woodstock, Illinois. They
made it a point to ensure that their venue was comfortable
for everyone attending and had a safe pathway to walk on.

Wear what is comfortable for
you. Do not wear heels just to feel
bridal on your wedding day! Your
feet will thank you the next day.

Medicine, recently got married in Lahore, Pakistan. She
wore two of her favorite brands: Louboutin and YSL for
the two celebratory days. She was candid about her shoeshopping
experience and shared that she did not account
for her podiatric knowledge when choosing the shoes. She
wanted to wear something she liked. Salma shares that one
of the challenges she faced while choosing her bridal shoes
was finding the right heel height so she could look both
