Staying True: An Interview with
Joey Zrucky (AzCPM '24)

I had the pleasure of meeting Joey Zrucky at my first
APMSA MidWinter House of Delegates conference in
2022. An already charismatic personality, it was a delight
to strike up any conversation with a student who still found
ways to pursue-and excel at-activities outside of the realm
of academia. So when I discovered that he was finally
releasing a full EP, I had to have him do an interview for
Footnotes. Before going into the meat of the interview, I
highly recommend you listen to the album, Find Out by

Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hello! Thank you for writing this article. I really appreciate
it. My name is Joey Zrucky and I'm a third-year podiatric
medical student at the Arizona College of Podiatric
Medicine (AzCPM). While I technically don't hold any
club positions anymore, I was the AzCPM Student Body
President in 2022, as well as the Vice President of the Foot
and Ankle Pediatrics club at our school.
Q. What was your inspiration to pursue music?
Near the end of my sophomore year of undergrad, I
realized that I needed a hobby that wasn't related to school
