P L AY I S I NT E RG E N E R ATI ONAL BACK TO THE FUTURE: Future-Forward Intergenerational in Museum Settings by Kate Mirand Calleri, Director of Education, Brooklyn Children's Museum & Lindsay Genshaft, Senior Manager of Family and Community Programs, Denver Art Museum For this article we, the Brooklyn Children's Museum (BCM) and the Denver Art Museum (DAM) are defining " intergenerational exchanges " as dialogue that emphasizes family stories-how families can talk both among themselves and to other families about their own unique stories. Intergenerational conversations can help children and families develop socioemotional learning, and article also highlights that these exchanges " promote empathy and positive coping skills.
