Watershed Geo recently teamed
with Teos Energy GmbH to commission
a 41 kWp test photovoltaic solar
power plant at Metabolon for Germanybased
disposal center operator Bergische
Waste Management Association. The
site will be used to scale up operations
for a future larger plant and will serve
as a demonstration site for other landfill
owners and regulators to see the unique
solar technology firsthand.
Megaplast commissions
seven-layer geomembrane
manufacturing line
Megaplast, one of the few manufacturers
offering an EVOH-based geomembrane
liner, announces the commissioning of
its seven-layer manufacturing line. This
will enable Megaplast to manufacture gas
barrier liners, along with other specialty
films for the ever-increasing demands of
environmental and construction industries.
Megaplast's geomembranes are
high strength, UV-stabilized, chemical
resistant and suitable for a number of
applications across industries like agriculture,
waste management, oil and gas,
and water management, among others.
These PE liners not only provide containment
or coverage, but also prevent
seepage and contamination, thereby
helping conserve the environment.
Naue undergoes modifications
at Bentofix plant
Following modifications to Naue's
Bentofix plant in Espelkamp, Germany,
production is up and running again.
Thanks to the improved technology
in the area of winding, it is now also
possible to produce bentonite mats
with coating and very high bentonite
weights. Bentofix coating X10F NSP
8000 Z raises the standard for coated
bentonite mats and meets the highest
requirements for impermeability
and protection of the resource water.
Projects with special requirements on
the level of protection have already been
supplied. Improvements to the fabric
guidance and winding unit allow perfect,
tight winding, which ensures high
precision during installation and fast
construction progress. G
