Jeff Butler named Advanced Textiles Expo

Jeff Butler is an author and workplace
strategist who explores human behavior
within the working world.
orkplace expert Jeff Butler will be
the keynote speaker for the 2023
Advanced Textiles Expo. Butler will focus
on managing and working with various
generations in his presentation " Building
an Effective Multigenerational Workforce. "
The Advanced Textiles Expo, formerly
known as IFAI Expo, will be Nov. 1-3
in Orlando, Fla. Butler will kick off the
show the morning of Nov. 1 immediately
after the Advanced Textiles Association
annual meeting.
" The textile industry was one of the
first industries where management
theory was tested, and a lot of the
philosophies ... came out of the textile
industry, " Butler says. " It's fantastic to
be talking to a classic industry that has
been around for such a long time [and]
has such an enormous role in society. I'm
very excited to be there. "
Butler is an author and workplace
strategist who explores human behavior
within the working world. His research
spans more than 40 industries on four
continents, exploring how different cultures
and employees interact with each other.
He studies common threads of behavior
in industries from IT professionals,
underground utility workers and police
officers to clothing retail chains. As a
researcher and practitioner, he also runs a
consulting company and the tech company
TrinityFix where he is able to test his ideas
in different workplace environments.
His ideas have made it to TEDx twice and
appeared in dozens of media outlets. He
has written two books on human behavior,
The Authentic Workplace and The Key to The
New You.
Advanced Textiles Expo will feature
three days of education, networking and
exhibits at the Orange County Convention
Center, preconference workshops and
the Emerging Technologies Conference

In memoriam: Kevin Yonce
F
ormer Industrial Fabrics Association
International (now ATA) Chairman
Kevin Yonce passed away peacefully at
home on April 29, 2023.
Yonce was born January 24, 1970, in
Urbana, Ill. He was a lifelong resident of
Champaign-Urbana and a 1988 graduate
of Urbana High School.
Yonce is survived by his mother,
Wanda, brother Byron (wife Lynn),
nephew Nick (wife Emily) and niece Lizzie,
as well as numerous aunts, uncles and
cousins. He is preceded in death by his
father, Wayne, grandparents Esta and
John Yonce and Earl and Bernice Barnes.

Yonce's accomplishments were vast
and widely recognized, as he was
incredibly involved in his community. He
was an influential member of Rotary for
more than 26 years, having served as
president of Champaign West Rotary and
district governor. Additionally, Yonce was
passionately involved in and on the boards
of United Way, Eastern Illinois Foodbank,
Center for Women in Transition (Courage
Connection) and Illinois Rebounders, having
served as president for the 2014-2015
season. Anyone who had the pleasure of
volunteering with Yonce was well aware of
his dedication to serving his community.
