Videos: Renovating Wrigley Field

enovating historic structures can be an adventure because it's hard to know
what you face until you open the walls. Technology is changing the dynamic

and that fact was demonstrated in many ways during the renovation of Chicago's
Wrigley Field. The story of the renovation and the role technology played is told on
p. 16 in the article "Tech Drives Wrigley Field Restoration." The article describes
how 3D laser scanning, point-cloud technology, BIM, jobsite wif i, and a variety of
other technologies made it possible to restore the base structure, add new elements
that blend with the original stadium, add an off ice building to the grounds, and
