Author
Salvatore Ali is an independent consultant providing advisory services to the petrochemical industry on
polymer strategy, technology transfer, and licensing/catalysts/IP commercialization with a keen interest in
circular economy and sustainable development.
Salvatore's 38 year long career in LyondellBasell (LYB), Montell, Technipol, Himont, and Montedison spanned
all the aspects of the polyolefins industry including the pioneering development and commercialization
of most modern PP/PE catalyst/process technologies. Salvatore served as Global VP PP/PE Catalyst &
Technology Licensing business for about fifteen years in LYB predecessors.
Salvatore has a doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan and a Master in
International Business Management at IMD, Lausanne. He has more than 50 publications referenced in
