Papa Del's thick crust is so popular
with University of Illinois alumni, it's now
shipped all over the country. Make it
easier on yourself and just pick up a slice
in Champaign. Pizzeria Antica brings
Neapolitan pizza to downtown Champaign
utilizing the best ingredients from the
Campania region of Italy, wood-fired in
their Naples-made oven. Manolo's Pizza
& Empanadas is a community favorite.
Enjoy their New York style slices like the
Spotted Goat with spinach, mushroom,
gorgonzola, and goat cheese. While known
for their massive sandwiches, Baldarotta's
Porketta & Sicilian Sausage's pizza slices
cannot be overlooked. Their slices are only
available Thursday-Saturday while supplies
last so get yours pronto! Filippo's Pizza in
both Monticello and Mahomet gives you a
sweeter sauce that will have you calling in
your order the minute they open.

BOLD BARBECUE
Get the wet naps ready, we have some BBQ
spots that are finger-licking good. Nationally
recognized Black Dog Smoke & Ale House
continues to impress with dishes like the
Burnt Ends or their Cuban sandwich. Wood
N' Hog Barbecue's smoky flavors and
Chicago-inspired sauce offer a little heat
and a little sweet. Try it over their woodsmoked
turkey tips, chicken, or ribs, quickly
becoming a must-try in the area. New on
the scene, Sooie Bros Bar B Q Joint in
Champaign highlights southern, smoked
dishes. In Arthur, Pauly's BBQ started
as a hobby for the owner and became a
mainstay in the area. Don't miss out on the
homemade pies and cobblers while there.
Dis N' Dat BBQ, a Black, female-owned
restaurant in Rantoul, treats their guests like
family. Check out their Soul Food Stack with
mac n' cheese, sweet taters, and dressing,
all stacked in one bowl. Finally, in Ogden,
The Pink Pig sources their proteins locally
from Willow Creek Farm in Urbana to create
mouthwatering sandwiches and platters.

FIND A FOOD TRUCK
Our flourishing food truck scene is evident
all over town. Each year, new ones pop
up and quickly become favorites. The
Smith Burger Company is known for
their signature smash burgers like the
City Slicker with bacon, jalapeños, pepper
jack cheese and an onion ring. Flour and
Fire Pizza has mastered the wood-fired
pizza in their truck. Try the Sweet Heat
made with hot honey. Downtown favorite,
Watson's Shack & Rail, opened a truck in
2022 bringing their fried chicken delights
all over the community. Want some tacos?
La Paloma knows how to do it with late
nights on the University of Illinois campus
and around town the rest of the time. Try
something a little different with The Stuft
Bird, always located in the same spot. Their
mac-n-cheese stuffed wings are something
of which dreams are made.
PATIO DINING
Patio season is celebrated in our community as thousands of outdoor seats open
when the weather warms. In downtown Champaign, nearly 2,000 outdoor seats are
available from beer gardens to fine dining. Whether you enjoy an authentic Italian
dish from Nando Milano, sliders from Seven Saints, or a beer on the rooftop at
Barrelhouse 34, there's a spot to enjoy your food and drink. In downtown Urbana
you'll find custom-made " CUrbanas " taking over parking spots, which are perfect
for enjoying the neighboring restaurants. From the Cafeteria & Company to the
graffitied beauty of the Sipyard, the outdoor options in Urbana will provide fresh air
with whatever is being served.
