Center for the Performing Arts, a hub of creative activity for all with over 400 performances throughout the year, including the biennial
ELLNORA | The Guitar Festival happening in odd-numbered years. From the opening night celebration in September to their laid-back
Krannert Uncorked wine and music nights to performances from visiting symphonies, this accessible space entertains all while also
serving as a teaching hub for University of Illinois students.

TAKE IN A MUSIC FESTIVAL
Regardless of your choice in music, there's a festival to suit your style.
July brings Audiofeed to the Champaign County Fairgrounds where
music from Christian artists creates a community, highlighting everything from
mellow styles to hardcore rock. In August, the Mahomet Music Festival plays
out on Main Street with local and regional bands taking the stage to entertain
audiences amidst the community-driven event. In Urbana, the Prairie Crossroads
Blues Fest takes over downtown Urbana bringing two days of blues and soul.
Heading into September, Pygmalion returns to Urbana hosting nationally
recognized names in indie rock. More than just a music festival, Pygmalion has
grown to incorporate technology, literature, poetry, makers, comedy, and so much
more to produce an experience that fosters creativity across all mediums. Come
October, you'll be craving the comforts of community at the annual CU Folk &
Roots Festival that takes over Urbana. From local and national acts performing,
to demonstrations and dances, this feel-good festival will have you returning year
after year. Likewise, the CU Jazz Festival happening every October brings the
smooth and experimental sounds to Rose Bowl Tavern and NOLA's Rock Bar.

The Sousa Archives & Center for American Music, a hidden gem
on the University of Illinois campus, is a celebration of our local and
national music history. With John Philip Sousa collections to exhibits celebrating
the history of music, instruments, and the local music scene, this experience is a
treat for music lovers to take a deep dive into our rich, American history.
