ON CAMPUS
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is the

THE MAIN QUAD
No matter where you're situated on
the Quad, you'll find a picturesque spot
for your selfie. Anchored by the Illini
Union to the north and Foellinger Hall
to the south, trees and the expansive
lawn add to the buildings, old and new,
for a perfect backdrop.
ALMA MATER
The most photographed spot on campus, the Alma
Mater, a statue by Loredo Taft, welcomes students,
stating, " To thy happy children of the future, those
of the past send greetings. " This must-stop during
Commencement is often dressed up for local events,
including Ebertfest, Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon, and
Lunar New Year.
ETERNAL FLAME
The Class of 1812 gifted the Eternal
Flame, located on the Main Quad
between Lincoln Hall and the English
Building. Legend has it that those who
kiss there will have a lifetime of eternal
bliss. Snap your pics with your loved
ones!
GRANGE GROVE
The gateway to
Memorial Stadium features a large
Block I and the impressive Red Grange
sculpture, both ideal backdrops for
showing that you bleed orange and
blue.
HALLENE GATEWAY
Formerly part of the fourth building
on the University's historic campus,
this popular photo spot is now the
entrance to the Hallene Gateway
Plaza outside Alice Campbell
Alumni Center. Check it out during
Homecoming, when the fountain is
dyed orange.
LOCAL LOVES
Elliott- " We love spending a spring or fall weekend going to an Illini sporting event and then heading over to Riggs for great
food trucks, drinks, and fun for the kids. Add some live music and a sunset, and a family day out doesn't get much better! "
