at area farms. At Prairie Fruits Farm &
Creamery, get to know the goats that are the
source of the award-winning cheeses you'll find
at area markets and restaurants throughout
the state. This farmstead welcomes visitors
for various opportunities, including goat yoga,
hikes with the goats, and their popular on-thefarm
dinner series throughout the summer
months. Springtime is always a favorite for
Babies and Brunch when over 100 baby goats
are born!
At Prairie Rim Ranch in Villa Grove, bison roam
the grassy prairies of this family-owned farm
dedicated to conserving the land and wildlife.
Shop their new storefront for bison meat and
products alongside locally sourced goods. Get
a complete experience with a stay on the ranch
where you can enjoy a nature walk to view
the bison, birdwatch, and pick apples while in
season.

over 70 small farms in the area, this spot off
the Kickapoo Rail Trail in St. Joseph has a
continually rotating menu highlighting the best
of each season.
Martinelli's Market and Pekara Bakery &
Bistro-These sister restaurants in Champaign
are also under the same ownership of Central
Illinois Bakehouse and Prairie Fruits Farm &
Creamery. Local bread and cheese and locally
sourced ingredients from other area farms are
always on the menu.
Maize Mexican Grill-This popular Mexican
spot features house-made tortillas and corn
chips made with locally sourced corn, which
create a texture perfect for sopping up mole,
salsa, and queso.
Silvercreek-A staple in downtown Urbana,
their classic dishes feature ingredients from
its garden and local farms.
