about what you eat. At The Brown Bag
Deli in Monticello, you can pick up their
crave-worthy salads and sandwiches
and head for a picnic at Allerton Park
& Retreat Center!
FOOD TRUCKS
With a large college town craving food
at all hours, our food truck ecosystem
continues to grow all year round. Find
them on campus, in our downtowns,
local breweries, and area Farmers'
Markets! Among the many trucks is
La Paloma, serving up family-style
Mexican dishes that will have you
asking why you don't have tacos every
day. Flour and Fire Pizza serves you
hot, wood-fired pies. Try it with their Hot
Honey! Popular at Urbana's Market
at the Square, Piato To-Go serves up
fresh, local flavors for breakfast and
lunch.
LOCAL LOVES
Sam- " My local guilty pleasures are the dessert cases at Martinelli's Market and Pekara Bakery. Both
establishments offer croughnuts every Friday and Saturday. Many times I have been motivated through an early
Saturday morning workout simply due to the promise of a croughnut shortly after! "
Genevieve- " I love visiting the eateries on Green Street in Campustown, especially during school breaks. My
favorite treats are bubble tea at Kung Fu Tea, sushi at Sakanaya, and dessert crepes at Paris Super. "
