Raku
Immerse yourself in the time-honored practice of raku pottery
through four distinct two-day workshops. Our offerings include
Saggar, Glaze, and Glazeless as well as Baltic Raku workshops.
The Saggar Raku workshops are tailored for ceramicists
exploring Alternative Firing techniques. In the other
workshops, all glazing procedures are completed on the first
day, followed by firing on the second day. The glazed raku
workshops feature a range of glazes such as Clear Crackle,
Turquoise, Dragonfly, and Red/Blue.
Secret of Color Theory
Gloria Chan will lead a workshop where students can explore
the perception and characteristics of color. The main
emphasis will be on enhancing color comprehension through
activities such as crafting color wheels, value scales, and other
exercises.
Candle Making
Zane's Candle Co will guide you through the fundamental
candle-making process to create a lovely scented soy wax
candle. Customize your candle by selecting colors and scents
from the options provided. You can bring your candle home
once the workshop is complete.
Monoprint Monsters Printmaking
Get ready to create spooky monster prints at the starting
printmaking workshop hosted by Stone Dairy Press!
Participants will explore a range of enigmatic mono-printing
methods to craft one-of-a-kind artworks on paper, discover
the enigmatic " ghost print, " and leave with a collection of eerie
prints. No prior experience is required, but everyone is
welcome to join in the fun!
