Join us on November 9th from 9 AM to 12 PM at Hyde
Farm Park for Girls in Parks Day. We welcome all girls
to a lively morning filled with thrilling activities. This
event blends adventure, education, and hands-on
experiences, catering to outdoor girls of all ages.
Here's a glimpse of what to expect:
Explore museum tours at 10 AM and 11 AM to
uncover the history of Hyde Farm.
Learn from a licensed drone pilot, engage in
GIS/ELM talks, and try fishing and outdoor
recreation skills.
Unleash your creativity with art projects and
outdoor cooking demonstrations.
Girls in Parks Day promises an unforgettable
experience with so much to see and do. Bring your
lunch to enjoy before the Trail of the Month Club, a
guided hike from 1 PM to 3 PM. Make new friends,
acquire new skills, and create lasting memories at
this event.

Join the Mushroom Club of Georgia for an Oyster
Mushroom Bag Cultivation Workshop led by Sam
Landes. Learn about fungi, grow oyster mushrooms
at home without intensive sterilization, and receive
supplies, a recipe, and care instructions.

Come and join us for Fall Frontier Day at Green Meadows!
Explore activities like washing clothes on a washboard or
crafting your own corn husk doll. Experience the
Peachtree Handspinner's Guild showcasing spinning and
weaving, and listen to Cherokee Elder, Tony Harris share
insights on Cherokee Plants and their applications at the
outdoor classroom. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the
historic house museum throughout the event.
