Lee McIntyre is a Research Fellow at the Center for Philosophy and History
of Science at Boston University and a recent lecturer in ethics at Harvard
Extension School. He holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D.
in Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
During his presentation, Dr. McIntyre will explore whether people are
justified in making decisions about their personal health that do not conform
with the latest scientific evidence, as well as the benefits of engaging
in meaningful conversation with these people. The presentation will be
immediately followed by a book signing in the exhibit hall. (Paperback
copies of Dr. McIntyre's book are available for purchase during registration.)
The Second Annual Biologics Summit
The Controlled Release Society and IPEC-Americas have
once again teamed up for the Biologics Summit.
This year's program theme: Advances in Drug
Delivery and Medical Devices.
Expo
Education continues in the Excipient World exhibit hall - a
center for collaboration and information exchange between
all industry stakeholders (excipient users, makers, distributors,
etc.). This year over 35 industry suppliers will be
exhibiting and 20+ posters will be on display showcasing
the latest excipient research and innovations.
Networking
Attendees will have 10+ hours of opportunities to connect
over the three-day event. In addition to lunches and breaks
between education sessions, Excipient World will host three
evening networking events. The
optional " Plus One " networking pass
allows attendees to bring a significant
other to all evening networking
events. Participants are
encouraged to kick off the week
with a casual golf outing on the
morning of Sunday, May 12.
