Robotic Endotoxin Testing System
The Endosafe® Nexus 200™ is a data integrity
compliant, fully robotic instrument, capable of
processing both undiluted or complex, serial
dilutions for water, in-process, and final product
testing via Endosafe Limulus Amebocyte
Lysate (LAL) cartridge technology in a fully
enclosed system. Powered by Endosafe
EndoScan-V version 6.1, the system allows
for data to be exported into a Laboratory
Information Management System (LIMS) integration
and provides improved traceability,
security, and data management on an integrated
touch screen. The Nexus 200 combines
technology, innovation, and control to optimize
and streamline testing by combining
the Endosafe LAL cartridge technology, the
Endosafe® nexgen-MCS™ multi-cartridge system,
and the Hamilton Microlab® Nimbus platforms
for a low-maintenance, high-precision
walkaway platform.

Prefilled Syringes With
RFID-Labels
Schreiner MediPharm partnered with SCHOTT
Pharma to develop a solution to equip prefilled
syringes with RFID. Among other applications,
the combination syringe and smart label
opens up broad opportunities to optimize
hospital routines. What differentiates the new
RFID-Labels is the combination of conventional
product information marking and the
application of unique, digital identifiers for
each unit. This enables optimized processes
in hospital inventory management, patient
care and documentation, as well as the digitial
identification of medications and medical devices.
In addition, digital first-opening indication
to protect the integrity of the syringe can
be incorporated.

Case Packing Collaborative Robot
Company's collaborative robot (cobot) packing
unit is a highly flexible platform that supports
a variety of semi-automatic production
modules, including case formers, print-andapply
case labelers, case layer inspection
units, and case sealers. Ideal for loose or bundled
bottles and cartons, the new cobot capabilities
can safety and reliably pack up to 70%
faster than manual loading. The enhanced
cobot capabilities build upon the company's
well-established Intelli-Pac system, known
for offering high-integrity aggregation data
when configured for a 'pack first, then inspect "
process. Intelli-Pac enables operators to simply
and expediently remediate out-of-spec
products at the point of discovery, preventing
costly downstream reworks and resulting in a
process where cases are only sealed once satisfactorily
aggregated. Versatile and vendoragnostic,
the machine permits brand owners
to use their preferred serialization data management
software and vision systems.

Fully Transparent Recyclable
Mid-Barrier Blister Package
Recyclable in geographies where the #5
(polypropylene) recycling stream is available,
the mid-barrier blisters feature a polyolefin
blister film paired with a barrier PP lidding
film. This marks the first time a formed
blister + lidding combination is certified as
recyclable- a significant milestone in the
evolving push to make healthcare packaging
more sustainable.
From a manufacturing
standpoint, initial machinability analyses
have been positive, with large-scale tests
scheduled for the near future.
