Shout-outs for a job well done
Tony Corum
Tony Corum, RN, in the Post-Anesthesia
Care Unit (PACU) at Alice Peck Day Memorial
Hospital, has been working with Informatics
Specialist Vickie Merchant to create a pain
management tool that appears on the
discharge paperwork for surgical patients.
This will make it easier for patients to track
their pain medication in hopes of better
managing their post-operative pain.
Tiffany Boyd
Tiffany Boyd, director of Care
Management at Cheshire Medical
Center, received Cheshire's Leadership
Recognition Award. Employees submit
nominations for the quarterly award,
and Cheshire's Senior Operations Team
selects the winners. " Tiffany goes above
and beyond every single day to find
innovative solutions to myriad challenges, "
her nominator for the award wrote. " She is
always thinking outside the box for creative
solutions to care for patients in the most
compassionate and cost-effective way.
Tiffany is truly passionate about her work,
and it shows in her commitment to the
role, in her outcomes, and the way she
leads her team. "

Whitney Zweeres
Whitney Zweeres, a physical therapy
assistant at New London Hospital, recently
completed her orthopedic specialty
through the Nxt Gen Institute of PT. After
months of long days of work, studying and
classroom time, she passed her exam to
become OPTA certified.
Kayla Cawvey
As a Strong Families nurse in Vermont's Windsor
County, Kayla Cawvey has been creatively doing
outreach to spread the word about the Strong Families
Sustained Nurse Home Visiting program, Children's
Integrated Service and VNH. She has been walking into
organizations, calling and sharing program information
via social media. The Strong Families program supports
healthy decision-making and effective parenting
through free nurse visits during pregnancy, after birth
and through a child's second birthday and a voluntary,
structured program to support the parenting journey.

to make their communities
a better place to live. Among
their achievements: Martin
represented New Hampshire
at a national conference
advocating for policy issues
impacting mothers; Tanner
serves on the boards of Families
Flourish and New Hampshire
Humanities.
