Dartmouth Health's employee
and volunteer art show
has expanded
All types of visual art-paintings, sculpture,
photography, textiles, ceramics, decorative arts
and multimedia arts-are welcome as entries
for the 2023 Employee and Volunteer Art
Show. The annual show highlights the artistic
talents of employees and volunteers across the
Dartmouth Health system. In 2022, the show
held exhibits at DHMC and Dartmouth Hitchcock
Clinics Manchester; this year, the show has been
expanded to include an exhibit at Mt. Ascutney
Hospital and Health Center, and will soon expand to
all Dartmouth Health locations!
The fine print: Artists must be current employees
or volunteers of Dartmouth Health. Please submit one
piece per artist. Two-dimensional work must be framed
and ready to hang with picture-hanging wire; 3D pieces
must have a stand to go in the display case.
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Art will be accepted Monday, April 3,
from 12-5 pm, and Tuesday, April 4, from
8 am-2 pm, in Volunteer Services. The
show will be up from April until the end

A SLICE OF HISTORY
More than a century of care
Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Vermont and New Hampshire traces its
roots all the way back to 1907. It was then that the organization formed in
Windsor, Vt. As you can see, nursing attire has changed a bit since then.
Forty-six years after its founding, VNH offered services in New Hampshire
for the first time, in Hanover. Today, however, as a result of a number of
mergers with other healthcare organizations, VNH provides services in more
than 100 towns in Vermont and New Hampshire. Hospice services were
added in 1995, and in 2016 VNH joined the Dartmouth Health system.
Some eye-popping numbers from this past year: VNH caregivers drove
994,000+ miles making 75,000 home visits to 5,000 people of all ages
and at all stages of life.
