HIGH
Shout-outs for a job well done
Alice Peck Day Memorial
Hospital ED nursing team
Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital's
Emergency Department (ED) nursing
team provides a much-needed service for
area seniors: a call-back program. Melissa
Warrington, BSN, RN, has been dedicated to
CARES (Communicating with Adults Receiving
Emergency Services) from the start. " Melissa
has been a tireless champion of this work in our
geriatric ED and a true patient advocate, " says Kristie Foster, BSN, RN, GeroBC,
nurse manager/clinical educator. " She is dedicated and compassionate. "
Jaime King
Jaime King, MSW,
manager of Inpatient Care
Management, received
Cheshire Medical Center's
Leadership Recognition
Award (LRA). Employees
submit nominations
for the quarterly award,
and Cheshire's Senior
Operations Team selects
the winners. This is what some of her nominators shared:
" Jaime has been nothing but supportive to her team while
tackling and learning her new role as a supervisor. She is
always open to feedback and eager to help solve problems.
Her positive attitude makes working with her a pleasure.
She is compassionate to her staff and to patients and a
knowledgeable resource for staff. She is approachable and
kind. She deserves to have her energy, commitment to the
success of her team and the overall organization recognized. "
SVMC staff A group of Southwestern Vermont
Medical Center staff, across departments, came together
recently to assist a pregnant couple who needed services. The
couple, who recently moved from Haiti, were first assisted
by Pamela Duchene, PhD, APRN, vice president of Patient
Services and chief nursing officer, who found the couple
trying to enter an employee area of the hospital.
She brought the couple to administrative assistant Joseph
Heuschkel, who got an entire team in motion that included
Lori Perron
Lori Perron does an excellent job
at our switchboard at Mt. Ascutney
Hospital and Health Center. She is an
enthusiastic team player, willing to do
anything she's asked to do, and brings an
appreciated playful approach to her work
when she can. Her workspace and the
mail center are a friendly and pleasant
place to visit, always decorated on point
for the season and enjoyed by us all. Lori is a true professional,
getting our organization's callers dispatched to where they need to
go, very skilled at calling codes with overhead paging, and is superbly
creative and talented with crafting employee announcements.

Cameron, Tiffany Tobin, Sue Daugherty and Rachel Quackenbush
financial counselor Sue Daugherty, patient coordinator
Valerie Cameron, social worker Rachel Quackenbush, and
director of Hospitality Services Tiffany Tobin. Sue helped
look into the couple's insurance options, Valerie helped get
them an appointment with SVMC's OB-GYN office, Rachel
assisted in getting the couple access to EBT services, and
Tiffany provided the couple with a meal while they waited. A
great team effort to help a couple in need of care!
Johanna Beliveau
Johanna L. Beliveau, DNP, MBA, RN,
CEO and president of Visiting Nurse
and Hospice for Vermont and New
Hampshire (VNH), has been selected by
The Health Management Academy to take
part in the Academy GE Fellows Program,
a 2-year, nationally competitive program
for health system executives. " Leading
VNH through the pandemic, a clinical workforce shortage, and the
financial headwinds facing the rural healthcare industry have been
a crash course in executive healthcare leadership, " said Beliveau. " I
look forward to the opportunity to strengthen my skills and equip
myself with a robust tool set of best practices through this exciting
program. "
