WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BE ...
A look at different Dartmouth Health jobs
The humorist Will Rogers
once said, " You never get a
second chance to make a
first impression. " He's right,
at least according to studies
that show that we size up a
person or a situation in just
30 seconds-and, whatever
impression we get, sticks.
This month, Dartmouth
Health employees who
interact with our patients and
the community tell us what
it's like to be responsible for
first impressions.
" I love helping people. I get a lot of
satisfaction out of making sure people's
visits are the best they can be. Coming
to DHMC can be intimidating, and it's
our job to help patients and
families feel comfortable and
get them to where they need to be. "

" I like that every day I get to see
people I know and people I've come
to know. Making people smile
or laugh helps me get through
some of the stresses that can come
with this position. "
