With the company's current and future growth, Clarahan
recognizes the need for more technically trained hands
on deck. As the company continues to branch out, he
expects to find these individuals within the ranks of
ASET'S members.

to need more people with technical
qualifications to fill out our organization,"
Clarahan says. "That's where ASET will

contribute to our company's growth into

company with an exciting future. Clarahan holds that with
the direction building and home technology is going, the
company has enormous potential. "Our objective is to grow
this company quite rapidly over the next five years. This is
possible because we have a technology that has a lot to
offer," he says. "As a good part of the world strives to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions and to make buildings more
energy efficient and sustainable, we believe LiteZone® will
be embraced."
1. A fiberglass spacer to provide the required
strength, thermal performance and shape to
achieve a novel glass unit construction.
2. A proprietary film suspension system that allows
the suspension of between one and eight films so
that a multi-layered glass unit, with only two glass
lites, can be constructed without becoming much
heavier than a regular double pane glass unit.
3. Air-filled units, meaning no concerns with
deteriorating thermal performance or
decompression problems because of the loss of
argon, krypton or xenon gas over its lifespan.
4. A proprietary pressure equalization system (i.e.
a "breathing" system) to ensure that air pressure
between the inside and outside of the glass
unit, and between internal cavities, is equalized
with changing temperatures and atmospheric
pressure, while keeping water vapour from
entering the unit.
5. An edge seal constructed to be extremely strong,
flexible and impermeable to water vapour.
6. Use of materials that have comparable
coefficients of linear thermal expansion to
minimize stress due to differential expansion.
