Let’s take a closer look at how seven of them could shape key aspects of our industry during 2009 and beyond The other provincial organizations have also been seeking grassroots producer views. The proposal grew out of the 2007 P5 Policy Forum hosted by Ontario. Board members and delegates from the five provinces wanted the pool to would have to take several intermediary steps first. Unveiled last fall to producers in the P5 provinces—Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario— the harmonized quota policy would treat all producers in the pool the same, regardless of the province where they farm. At the early-November P5 Policy Forum in Moncton, N.B., producerdelegates expressed their support.
