For the love of cheese
DFC wants to get consumers to buy more cheese with its latest magazine and back-to-school promotion
P
izza made with Canadian cheese is the focus of DFC’s All You Need Is Cheese magazine’s August issue. Italian Chef David Rocco shares his pizza-making tips, while DFC offers recipe spread suggestions for the holidays. Arla Foods’ Tre Stelle is DFC’s premium partner processor for this edition. Other processors, including Damafro, Black River Cheese Company, Farmers Dairy and Bothwell Cheese, are providing rebate coupons on their cheeses. About 90 in-store cheese tastings will take place in major grocery stores across Canada (except Quebec) to coincide with the magazine’s launch, and more than 160 cheese shops will display the magazines. DFC is also launching a new backto-school promotion encouraging consumers to purchase cheeses made from 100% Canadian Milk. It is promoting healthy homemade pizza recipes as an easy and creative dinner solution for families. Called For pizzas that please, mix up the cheese!, the promotion will take place in Metro grocery stores across Ontario until mid-September and will combine instore media and tastings.
