NEWS & EVENTS STRENGTHENING THE ENGINEERING COMMUNITY THROUGH MENTORING O 26 SPE's 2019 - 2022 Strategic Plan, Engineering the Future Together, has laid out steps towards strengthening and growing the future of the engineering profession. One of the ways in which we do so is by creating opportunities for members to share their expertise and experiences with each other. The foundation of a strong engineering community starts with members of the profession uplifting each other through guidance and support. OSPE's brand new Mentorship Program has been designed to connect engineering professionals in the early stages of their career to knowledgeable mentors with the skills and expertise they are most interested in honing. Unlike traditional mentoring relationships that develop over time, OSPE has created a " Drop-In THE VOICE June 2021 Mentoring " system to accelerate the mentoring process. Our Mentorship Program features diverse, accomplished professionals with experience in a wide variety of engineering disciplines and specializations, including licensure support, project management, networking skills, career support and much more. Mentees can book a 30-minute session with as many mentors as they like - allowing them access to a much wider knowledge base than traditional mentorship programs may afford. Each mentor also has the opportunity to interact with far more potential mentees, thus significantly increasing their overall impact.
