How do you work in saturated markets and/or new
unventured markets?
This question is answered when developing your Go-To-Market
Strategy. The key is verifiable Market Research and Intelligence.
To enter a " saturated " market successfully, your product/service
must offer a value proposition sufficiently compelling to change
buyer habits and legacy issues. Your product/service must offer
a value proposition sufficiently compelling to initiate new buyer
habits for new markets.
What skills from an engineering background make you a
successful entrepreneur?
Caveat: I am not an engineer! However, as the founder of
an enterprise dependent on engineering, R&D and product
excellence, my experience indicates that the discipline of
engineering equips the aspirant entrepreneur with many valuable
cross-over skills:
* Refined analytical ability
* Ability to translate abstract ideas in to executable concepts
* Advanced project management
* Intense attention to detail - process orientation
* Ability to pivot
* Goal and mission orientation
And many others. In conclusion I would highly recommend
entrepreneurialism as a fulfilling career option for women
engineers. Just do it your way!

Judith has over ten years of experience in corporate start-ups
on four continents, followed by five years as a consultant in
the private sector. During this time, she co-founded a custom
manufacturing firm. As CEO of Eastern Fluid Power Inc. Judith
actively encouraged women to consider a tech career. Having sold
her business in 2019, Judith now mentors female start-ups and
scale-ups.
