he Ontario Engineering Academy (OEA) is pleased
to announce upcoming partnerships with academic
institutions in Ontario. 2021 has been the year of
growth for the OEA. With new certifications and
micro-credentials, OSPE members can access
robust professional development easier than ever before.
With topics like Industry 4.0, Circular Economy, and Leading
Transition, individuals will be able to access a diverse portfolio
of certificate programs to help them up-skill and re-skill for the
today's workforce.
Industry 4.0, in partnership with Festo &
Humber College
Festo is a global automation and technical education company,
excelling in preparing people and organizations for the digital
future in production, and for new technologies. Together with
Humber College, they have created multiple hands-on labs and
workspaces to teach engineering students concepts and skills
for the future.
With the digital transformation of manufacturing and other
production related industries, this program will aim to close the
gap on the industry adaptation of Industry 4.0. This multi-level
program will cover topics like Mechanical Systems, Applied
Industry 4.0, Advanced Robotics, Cyber-security and much more.
Along with a robust hands-on component, individuals will leave
with a full understanding of how to get ahead and stay ahead of
the 4th industrial revolution.

Circular Economy and Climate Change
Program, in partnership with McMaster
University and NGen
McMaster University's Certificate of Completion's Circular
Economy & Climate Change Program focuses on enabling
leaders to implement climate change strategies, reduce your
organization's carbon footprint, increase resource circularity
through clear action grounded in business practices and emerging
policies while eliminating wasted resources through an effective
carbon and resource footprint mitigation plan. Courses in this
program include but are not limited to: Circular Economy, Carbon
Mitigation and Leading Transition to a Low-Carbon, Circular
Economy.
OSPE members interested in registering can benefit from
reduced subsidized course fees under the NGEN AMP UP

Closing Skills Gaps through Lifelong
Learning, in Partnership with WatSPEED
at the University of Waterloo
