Therefore, answers represent a snapshot of the entire population. Overall, 10 interviews with Entrepreneurs were conducted as well as 12 with Leaders from incubators or university centres of entrepreneurship. here IS whaT we fOUnd: why Pursue entrepreneurship? Teamwork is a major theme stated by Leaders as important for success. "Team quality is more important than the quality of ideas" said one. Over half of businesses of Entrepreneurs consist of 2 - 10 employees 67% of Entrepreneurs started their business endeavour as part of a team. all Entrepreneurs describe themselves as 'calculated risktakers' and many attributed this to their engineering background. In general, challenges faced by Entrepreneurs are not because of their engineering background - they are simply entrepreneurial challenges. 33% Fun! Excitement! challenge! 25% Positive Impact on World! The overall attitude conveyed by these Entrepreneurs was that conditions are ripe for Entrepreneurship in Ontario-especially in the technology and advanced manufacturing sectors. It also seems that engineers who are thinking of becoming Entrepreneurs inherently possess the skills and traits to find the support mechanisms which will help them in their endeavours, whether these are incubators, centres of Entrepreneurship, venture capital, or like-minded individuals to form quality teams.
