Regional activities round-up Vancouver branch An enthusiastic and diverse group of Vancouver-area alumni celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Cactus Club. We shared great stories and memories of our Ryerson days over tasty appetizers. A variety of graduating years and programs were represented in our group and we soon found we had one thing in common – our fondness and pride in being Ryerson grads! Some of us remember when you could park your car in the Quad. We also agreed to get to work on a few things: planning our next event, promoting our Facebook page and spreading the word to alumni around the Metro Vancouver area. Alumni associations PublIc PolIcy aNd adMINIsTRaTIoN aluMNI assocIaTIoN (PPa) As the newly elected members of the Public Policy and Administration (PPA) Alumni Association executive, we welcome this year’s graduate students and look forward to meeting you. We would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce your new team: Wil Snowball, vicepresident, communications; Byoungjun Park, vice-president, administration; and Lauren Egar and Darius Sookram, co-chairs. Our goal is to assist alumni in the pursuit of excellence. We plan to stimulate interest, build loyalty, increase involvement, develop dynamic initiatives and generate support for the PPA program. We believe in building strong and mutually beneficial ties between alumni, current students and faculty, and other Ryerson programs. Thank you to everyone who supports the PPA program.
