Looking back on 2012, I am pleased to report that your representatives set and accomplished many goals towards enhancing Ian Horne, the alumni experience at Photographic Ryerson. These included Arts ’77 improving opportunities for young alumni and building new academic program, shared interest and geographic alumni groups. Board members attended many high-profile events like the opening of the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, Alumni Weekend, the Ryerson Dinner and our annual general meeting held in conjunction with the volunteer appreciation night. For those of you who attended these events, I trust you had a wonderful time. If you missed them, I strongly encourage you to participate this year. You'll be glad you did. The success of these activities is dependent on many people and I, on behalf of the RUAA, would like to personally thank them for their support. Special thanks must go to the Alumni Relations employees who are the backbone of the RUAA. Thanks also to the many alumni volunteers who serve their individual alumni groups and activities. The RUAA would not exist without the unfailing support of Sheldon Levy, president and vicechancellor; Adam Kahan, vice-president, university advancement; and Tyler Forkes, executive director, alumni relations. They all encourage us to continue our outreach to Ryerson alumni and participate in alumni activities and events. Your RUAA board looks forward to continuing to serve you in 2013.
