The disaster campaign’s “1% Solution” slogan refers to the demand that all levels of government commit an additional one per cent of their budgets to affordable housing. A documentary film on her work, Street Nurse, has had a major impact on nursing education in Canada. Tommi Hanley, Journalism ’84, has published a memoir on addiction and recovery, titled Insanity to Serenity. She writes, “I’m also blogging on related topics and preparing to write another book, The Big Book of Life, based on the spiritual principles of 12-step recovery as they apply to day-to-day living. Rachel, who sees her friend murdered, cannot reveal the killer’s identity as this could put her family in greater danger. Rollin Stanley, Urban and Regional Planning ’81, is the city of Calgary’s new chief planner. He worked for more than 20 years as a planner in Toronto before moving stateside to work as planning director in St. Louis and most recently, Montgomery County, Maryland. [1] Susan Marjetti, RTA ’83, is managing director of CBC Toronto. Last summer, she received the first Outstanding Leadership Achievement Award at the Innoversity Creative Summit 2012, in recognition of her work in making the media more inclusive and innovative. She has been successfully implementing diversity strategies in half a dozen Canadian markets over the course of 30 years, including the last 10 years at CBC Toronto.
