Sheldon passed away in October 2016 at age 72 in Toronto.
Dana Lee

Dana died peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital Palliative Care Unit March 2, in his 62nd year. Before joining Ryerson, Dana worked for CityTV and at CHUM Television for 12 years, where he was the operations supervisor of MuchMusic, specializing in live event television. He began teaching at the RTA School of Media in 1994, taking imaginative concepts and transforming them into reality as part of his continuous quest to use technical knowledge as a means to create original television content and construct new learning methods. His research interests focused on online collaborative learning and teaching, as well as using new technologies to develop blended learning classes.
Mike Olin
Mechanical Engineering Technology ’57
Mike died New Year’s Day 2017, at age 82. He enjoyed a 35-year career with General Motors of Canada Limited. Two of his daughters, Barb and Sue, along with his granddaughter Stacy, followed in his footsteps as graduates of Ryerson.
Linda Ottho
Fashion ’74
Linda passed away in 2015 at the age of 63. Actively involved with the Ladner Rotary Club for the past decade, she served as its president in 2011. She had also served as the club’s program officer, lining up weekly speakers. Linda was twice recognized for her contributions to Rotary, receiving two Paul Harris Fellow awards, the highest honour a club can bestow.
