Nature hike
Kingston alumni took a scenic hike to the top of Rock Dunder north of Kingston.
The September day was perfect for the four-mile trek, topped off by a refreshing swim.
MESSAGE FROM THE RUAA
Celebrating success
The start of a new year provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the successes of the past 12 months. In 2018, the Ryerson University Alumni Association board moved from holding individual director portfolios to committee-based work. This has increased collaboration among directors and helped focus our efforts. The change paid off.
The alumni board sponsored 30 kids from priority neighbourhoods to attend Rams Care Summer Camp; helped execute the first STEM Hacking event for alumni families; granted funding for student-athletes to network with alumni at the Ryerson Rams Men’s Hockey Alumni Golf Tournament; provided research and insight into programming for alumni by life stage; and 100 per cent of our board donated to the Ryerson Fund.
We plan to keep up the pace. This month we'll meet to set goals and strike new committees. Our directors are energized and ready to tackle new projects over the next 12 months.
We’d love for you to join us! Email ruaa@ryerson.ca to find out how you can get involved.
