Student wins big on Family Feud
Carolina Miceli, a student in the
Public Administration graduate
certificate program, and her family
were contestants on CBC's Family
Feud Canada. They won $10,000, a
portion of which they are donating
to Autism Ontario.
CITE earns a gold
Seneca's Centre for Innovation, Technology
and Entrepreneurship (CITE)
has earned a gold-level Leadership
in Energy & Environmental Design
(LEED) certification from the Canada
Green Building Council. Achieving this
gold certification reinforces Seneca's
commitment to sustainability.
Seneca graduate illustrates Olympian's
book for children
Joseph Osei Bonsu, a graduate from
Seneca's 3D Animation graduate certificate
and Digital Media Arts diploma
programs, illustrated Olympian Andre
De Grasse's children's book, Race
with Me! The book is published by
Scholastic Canada.
Harvesting for new growth
Seneca took part in a 20-year forestry
plan to renew about 52 acres
of forested area at King Campus.
Thinning of the forest will create
gaps in the canopy and promote
regeneration of native species.
Acting graduate selected
for protégé prize
Joelle Peters, a graduate from Seneca's Acting
for Camera & Voice diploma program,
was named protégé of the 2020 winner
of the Siminovitch Prize. Ms. Peters is a
Toronto-based performer and playwright
from Walpole Island First Nation and was
selected for her emerging talent.
Seneca lends a hand to North York General
Hospital's vaccination efforts
Seneca partnered with North York General Hospital
to have the Newnham Campus gymnasium
become the site of its main community vaccination
clinic. Students from the School of Nursing assisted
at the clinic with duties ranging from intake
and discharge to administering the vaccines.

Seneca canoed to the middle of Lake
Seneca to perform a water blessing at King
Campus. The Indigenous spiritual ceremony
of water blessing is a thanksgiving of life and
acknowledges the gift of life water provides.
Seneca climber on track to
complete the Seven Summits
It may have taken Angus Murray 20
years, but the Seneca student, also
an avid mountaineer, is one climb
away from completing the Seven
Summits, the tallest mountains on
each of the seven continents.
Premier of Ontario visits Seneca
Premier Doug Ford visited Newnham Campus,
along with Ontario Health Minister Christine
Elliott, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and Don
Valley North MPP Vincent Ke for a government
vaccination rollout announcement.
