Electrify an American Classic

Our VP for Governmental Affairs, James Banks is on Capital Hill pushing our ideas around attacking
carbon emissions from the front (new electric cars) and the rear (retrofitting older gas cars to electric)
in an effort we're terming 'Profitable De-carbonization. "
From the beginning, Derek Automotive has promoted retrofitting older vehicles to battery electric
drive. Now those thoughts have become actions, and the actions are leading to a demonstration car -
a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado retrofitted to electric, using our self-charging technology. We chose this
vehicle because of its size and weight (if we can make this heavy old boat electric, we can electrify
anything) and for its sex-appeal, and history. People across communities have memories about this
car, and therefore should be attract to the story around its retrofit to electric. We plan to reveal the
vehicle before Summer 2022.
RETRO will demo this old American classic with something new under the hood to set the stage for
a new business division that will specialize in converting the nation's gas car fleet over to electric.
