Undertaking new initiatives as a part of Student Outreach
Program Committee:

Published EFFC-DFI Guide to Working Platforms (January
2020).

- Resumé review and mock interview.

Published joint ADSC/DFI/PDCA Recommended Industry
Practices for Safe Working Platforms for Construction Equipment
(December 2020) - the first U.S.-focused guidance on
working platforms.

Supporting platform testing and validation research
project initiative associated with preparation of second
edition of EFFC-DFI Guide to Working Platforms.

Wrote IFCEE Conference Paper " Working Platforms for
Tracked Piling Plant - Current Worldwide Practice and
Guidance for the U.S. " (IFCEE 2021 Dallas). (Authors: Paul
Gildea, P.E., Langan Engineering & Environmental Services;
Peter Faust, Malcolm Drilling; and Tom Richards,
Nicholson Construction).

- Collaboration with university professors on DFI
Educational Trust grants for undergraduate and
graduate students.
- Building national network of professors to introduce
student outreach programs.

Encouraging WiDF committee members to participate in
DFI technical committee projects.

Launching WiDF Mentoring Sub-Committee and WiDF
Mentoring Program.

Collaborating with AEC Virtual High School Open House
workshop in 2021.

Raising funds through beaded lanyard fundraiser for

Geo Industry Risk Working Group

Liaising with ADSC, ASCE Geo-Institute, PDCA and
Geotechnical Business Association (GBA) to discuss and
catalog risk activities related to deep foundations.

Promoting and raising awareness of industry-wide risk
initiative.

Holding periodic meetings to identify and share
opportunities and resources.
