* Façade survey monitoring to monitor the movement of the structure's façade during excavation * Precision survey building monitoring at adjacent buildings within the influence of excavation at the south and west * Real-time vibration monitoring in adjacent buildings within the influence of the site as well as within and at the heritage building Drilled Shaft Foundations The foundation for The One consists of drilled shafts with rocket sockets up to 21 ft (6.4 m) deep. Due to the depth to rock, the decision was made to install the larger diameter (greater than 10 ft or 3.0 m) caissons from a subgrade elevation near the base of final excavation. Overhead obstructions at the temporary slab, of the internal bracing and the façade of the heritage building required most of the smaller diameter caissons (less than 5 ft or Layout of supercorner and superpile section * Inclinometer monitoring at 11 locations around the site to cover various design modules and at locations adjacent to the large diameter structural caissons * Shape accelerometer arrays (SAA) at the supercorner to provide real-time inclinometer readings during the stressing of the tieback anchors, the preloading of the corner brace and excavation on the northwest wall * Pile survey monitoring at the top and mid-span of each pile to correlate inclinometer monitoring and to provide performance coverage between inclinometer locations Low headroom drilling with BG24 under heritage building * Slab survey monitoring along the edge of the south temporary slab support beams in lieu of pile targets due to site line challenges with reading pile targets below the slab Multiple simultaneous operations ongoing in a constrained site DEEP FOUNDATIONS * JAN/FEB 2020 * 89
