Stanley " Stan " Agee, co-owner of
Pieresearch, died November 1 from
surgery complications. The Arlington,
Texas resident was 77 years old, and an
active DFI member
whose company most
recently supported the
new DFI podcast series
I n t e r v i ew Wi t h a
Survivor. Agee was
known for his robust, positive spirit. He
was an avid reader, intellectually
curious and a dedicated hard worker
who was very generous to many. Also an
astute businessman, Agee held many
different positions throughout his
business career. For the last 16-plus
years, he and his wife, Jan, owned
Pieresearch, which manufactures concrete
accessories for the construction
industry. He held many board positions,
such as serving on a city Planning and
Zoning Commission and the board of the
American Cancer Society and Big
Brothers Big Sisters. A graduate of the
University of Texas at Arlington, Agee
was very passionate about education
and never stopped learning. He worked
until the last moment possible and
cherished every opportunity to learn. In

Michael Joseph Miluski, 60, co-owner

in assisting with DFI grouting
conferences. He originally attended
Georgia Tech on a wrestling scholarship
and ultimately received
his bachelor's in civil
engineering from Widener
University, where
he graduated first in his
class, receiving The
Major Frank L. Martin Civil Engineering
Award for perseverance and sincere and
earnest efforts in engineering. He
worked at Schnabel Engineering from
1988 to 1997 and found his passion
designing soil stabilization programs
utilizing compaction grouting. While at
Schnabel, Miluski also received a
master's degree of science in civil
engineering from Widener University
and became licensed as a professional
engineer. In 1997, he became the
manager of business development for
Denver Grouting to focus his career on
compaction grouting and other ground
stabilization techniques. A year later, he
followed his passion by starting the
specialty geotechnical subcontracting
business, CGS. With his wife, Kay, he
built CGS to be the well-respected,
principled company it is today. In honor
