Register Now for #DFI46 in Las Vegas
Registration is open for DFI's 46th
Annual Conference on Deep Foundations (#DFI46) taking place October 1215 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. We are
excited to be getting back together inperson; at the same time, we are using
technology mastered in hosting DFI45
online to make DFI46 accessible to a
remote audience worldwide.
The theme is Winning Practices and
Ace Technology, with a focus on how to
" improve the odds " of generating highvalue foundation solutions when " the
house " is the ever-changing challenges
of variable ground conditions, extreme
events and demanding project constraints. Papers and panel discussions
will explore and debate demanding
geotechnical and foundation variables,
including difficult and unanticipated
soil conditions, natural hazards and
resiliency, seismic design and construction techniques, risk mitigation and
sustainability practices, innovative case
histories and new methods and
equipment. The conference will

highlight how the geotechnical and
foundation industry " increases the
odds " of high-value, high-quality
projects using innovations, advancements, expertise and experience.

WiDF Networking Reception
Mingle and connect on Tuesday, October
12, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at the
annual Women in Deep Foundations
(WiDF) Committee Networking
Reception. Enjoy camaraderie, cocktails
and great food while raising funds for
the Women in Deep Foundations Fund
by participating. All are welcome, but
space is limited. The event fee is $25,
and separate registration is required. To
sponsor the event or donate to the fund,
visit the conference website.
At the reception, the DFI Educational
Trust will announce recipients of the
2021 WiDF Professional Development
Grants. Grants are awarded to women
involved in the design and/or
construction of deep foundations. The
award covers recipients' attendance at
the conference, including registration
and related conference expenses.
