IFCEE 2024 is right around the corner on
May 7-10 at the Hyatt Regency Reunion
Tower in Dallas. The conference is
hosted, as always, by The International
Association of Foundation Drilling
(ADSC), Deep Foundations Institute,
Geo-Institute and Pile Driving Contractors
Association.
In addition to the huge outdoor and
indoor exhibits, IFCEE features short
courses, named lectures, special
sessions and five tracks. New this year

DFI Osterberg Memorial Lecture
John R. Wolosick, P.E., S.E., BC.GE, F.ASCE, Life Member
ASCE, of Keller North America, has been invited to present
the DFI Osterberg Memorial Lecture at IFCEE 2024.
The lecture, " Proposed Modified Davisson Criteria to
Evaluate the Ultimate and Safe Service Loads for
Micropiles, " is being delivered on Thursday, May 9, at 2:00 p.m.
A senior advisor for Keller, Wolosick works on projects across the U.S. He
has almost 45 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and contracting
and is the author of more than 35 technical papers.
Wolosick is a past president of DFI (2014-2016). He was the DFI Traveling
Lecturer in 2018-2019 and DFI Distinguished Service Award recipient in 2023.
He is the recipient of the 2008 Geo-Institute Martin S. Kapp Foundation
Engineering Award. In addition, he was named the Georgia Society of
Professional Engineers' Engineer of the Year - Industry in 2017 and awarded
the George F. Sowers Piedmont Award by the Georgia Geo-Institute in 2019. He
holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in civil engineering from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
