SuperPile '21: The Spirit of Innovation
Join DFI and ADSC for SuperPile 21 at
'
the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown
on June 23-25 and live-streamed to our
online audience. The theme of the
conference is The Spirit of Innovation.
The conference showcases the revolutionary
spirit and rich history of
Philadelphia, innovative new piling
methods and advanced technologies,
and the energy and enthusiasm of the
DFI community. While it's exciting to
come together with you in-person, our
online conference platform makes
SuperPile '21 accessible to students,
young professionals and a remote
audience worldwide.
Highlights
On Wednesday, June 23, DFI committees
are holding committee meetings that
members and nonmembers are welcome
to join. That evening at 5:30 p.m.,
the DFI Women in Deep Foundations
(WiDF) Committee is hosting its popular
networking reception at the hotel's
Horizons Rooftop Ballroom. The
fundraiser features " Philly Feud, " based
on the TV game show in which two
teams compete to name the most
popular responses to survey questions
to win prizes - and bragging rights.
Registration is required to attend.
On Thursday, June 24, plenary sessions
start with a panel discussion on
" Philadelphia Foundations. " The discussion
is followed by innovative design
and construction case histories highlighting
innovations and geotechnical
challenges of working in the city, and a
broad variety of local, national and international
projects and technical topics.
On Friday, June 25, parallel sessions
present coverage of specific technologies,
advancements, innovations and
challenges in design and construction.
The day ends with a panel discussion,
" Horses for Courses: Testing of Existing
Foundations for Potential Reuse. "
During the event, the exhibit hall
features equipment, material and
instrumentation suppliers; contractors;
engineers and other vendors.
This hybrid event allows all attendees
to continue visiting exhibitors online
from now until December, as well as view
recordings of any missed presentations.
