We have given our supporting corporate members the
most space, with enhanced brand visibility and the ability to
include advertising/promotional materials (as pdfs and
videos) and an expanded listing that include links to the
company's website and social media profiles. Each listing is
searchable by organization type, service type, service
location and product/service information, and has a feature to
reach corporate member staff.
Each technical committee now has a welcoming, informative
space with standard features members can continually
update, and flexibility to be unique in communicating
committee activities to website visitors.
Once the new site is live, it will be open for a formal review
involving the original focus groups participating in round two
and, we hope, member and visitor feedback. You can provide

Next Steps
Once the post-migration review ends, DFI will keep the sites
constantly updated, including creating spaces for new
content within the DFI portfolio, along with an ongoing focus
on rich media presentations, and on increased visibility for
members/contributors.
As always, feedback, suggestions or requests are welcome,
as this site is for you - DFI members and contributors.
Highlighted System Features
* Mobile-compatible website
The entire website is now mobile compatible, with a reactive array that adapts
to any sized screen for increased accessibility.
* Improved searchability
DFI search functions now include all " in-page " content, pdf metadata and the
full glossary/lexicon to improve external search engine ranking (SEO).
* Revised navigation system
Long dropdown menus were replaced with content sort pages to make the site
easier to navigate; the footer menu also now includes all major sections so they
are more easily found.
* Rich media
The site has moved away from static media in favor of providing easily
consumable rich content to improve user uptake and experience. The new
Broadcasting Common Ground podcast and its first series, Interview with a
Survivor, offers an example.
All presentations can be recorded for distribution.
Committees can produce dynamic content and manage their webpages.
* Distinct subsites
The regional chapter subsites and Educational Trust subsite have greater
flexibility for content with unique structures and content abilities, allowing
content to grow as needed.
* User's profile control
Members have an enhanced ability to " self-service, " including contact info.
updates, content order history, membership renewals, viewing of documents,
and access to attended events.
* Committee/group collaboration spaces
Facilitate online teamwork through the Microsoft Teams application
Allow each technical committee (and some industry working groups) their own
interaction space.
Through Teams, directly provides space for document sharing, storage and
collaboration.
* Seamless events system
The system is now managed internally for an entire event, from abstract
collection to event delivery; this includes the call for abstracts, paper review,
delivery of presentations, event information display and registration collection.
A virtual event platform exists that offers presentation recordings and online
proceedings, plus a mobile app to allow remote audience participation.
* Revised eStore
The new eStore allows for multiple currencies, nested products and previews of
documents or presentations before purchase; past purchases are viewable in a
user's profile.
* Forms and internal email system
The site has an internal forms system, allowing DFI staff to create forms and
surveys internally, linked to the contact record for greater tracking and
preservation of records.
Sample tech committee webpage
The new internal email system allows DFI to email groups to provide access,
forms or notices without using external providers, and allows users to have a
history of communications.
