Along with the reduction in
operating costs, the Arizonabased
company announced the
resignations of CEO Michael
Weinberger, who took the top job
in December, as well as Chief Legal
Officer Michael Keskey and board
director Lawrence Taylor.
The resignations and restructuring
plan prompted several management
changes:
* Weinberger is taking a role as
strategic adviser, focusing on
the company's retail franchise
Unity Rd.
* Chair Doug Bowden, who has
invested more than $15 million
in the company, is now interim
CEO.
* Chief Operating Officer Chris
Wolven is now overseeing
operations and leading the
company.
* Director Jeffrey Rassas was
appointed as strategic adviser,
primarily driving investor and
public relations as well as
capital needs.

The announcement follows the
resignation of Luis Merchan as CEO
and board chair.
Tilt Holdings Announces
Leadership Changes
Phoenix-based Tilt Holdings, a
provider of cannabis business
solutions, announced that Gary
Santo had resigned as CEO and
Tim Conder, a member of the
board of directors, was appointed
interim CEO.
Conder has been a board
member since October 2019.
Previously, he served as Tilt's
president and chief operating
officer from 2019 until 2020.
The board also announced the
appointment of Mark Scatterday
as a senior adviser focused on
the company's Jupiter inhalation
business. Scatterday was the
founder of Jupiter and CEO of Tilt
until May 2021 and chair of the
board through December.
Additionally, Dana Arvidson,
who served as chief financial
officer since December, departed
the company.
Brad Hoch, who served as chief
accounting officer, was appointed
interim CFO.
Flora Growth Appoints CEO
Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based
Flora Growth Corp., a cultivator,
manufacturer and distributor of
global cannabis products and
brands, announced that Hussein
Rakine, founder of JustCBD, would
assume the role of CEO. Flora
acquired JustCBD in February 2022.
Agrify Announces Changes
to Executive Leadership Team
Agrify Corp., a provider of
cultivation and extraction
solutions for the cannabis industry,
announced leadership changes to
support growth initiatives:
* David Kessler, who joined
Agrify in 2020 as vice president
of horticulture and customer
success, was promoted to
executive vice president (EVP),
chief science officer and general
manager, cultivation division.
* Brian Towns, who joined
Agrify with the acquisition of
Precision Extraction Solutions
in 2021, was promoted to
EVP and general manager,
extraction division.
* Sheryl Elliott, who joined
Agrify in 2020 as the director
of human resources, was
promoted to senior vice
president of human resources.
* Stuart Wilcox, who joined
Agrify as a board member in
2021 and then as chief operating
officer in 2022, has resigned
to pursue other ventures.
Jack
Sousa
Sousa to Lead
Cannabis Practice Group
Connecticut-headquartered law
firm Wiggin and Dana announced
the launch of its Cannabis Practice
Group to accelerate the growth of
marijuana businesses across the
Northeast and beyond.
Jack Sousa, a partner in the
firm's corporate department, will
chair the Cannabis Practice Group,
which will include at least a halfdozen
attorneys.
In addition to Sousa, the Cannabis
Practice Group will include
partners John Doroghazi and
James Greifzu as well as senior
counsel Bob Langer.
