Schultz most recently spent
three years as a partner with the
law firm Feuerstrein Kulick in New
York, where he worked closely with
cannabis operators and investors.
Before that, he served for two
years as general counsel and partner
with Navy Capital, a private,
cannabis-focused investment
firm. Schultz also advises cannabis
industry operators on M&A and
capital raising, banking laws, compliance
and corporate governance.
Ally Hires Science Officer
Ally Biotech, an Arizona-based
maker of bioactive delivery
solutions for cannabinoids,
appointed Charles Johnson as
chief science officer. According
to Ally, Johnson most recently
provided consultation services
in the hemp and marijuana
sectors, including industrial
farming, extraction, refining, Good
Manufacturing Practice production,
nutraceuticals and U.S. Food and
Drug Administration compliance.
Johnson holds a Ph.D. in analytical
chemistry from Virginia Tech and
has " decades of experience " in FDA
regulatory compliance, LEAN (TPS)
principles in product development
and manufacturing, competitive
market analysis, mergers and acquisitions
as well as technical sales.
Ally recently acquired the Arizonabased
brand Chill Pill, a line of easyto-swallow
THC softgels.
Stephen Papageorge
Joins Indoor Harvest Corp.
Indoor Harvest Corp., which sells
hemp-based wellness products,
announced the appointment of
Stephen Papageorge as chief
brand officer.
Papageorge's track record
includes initiatives for brands such
as Dos Equis, Harley-Davidson, Nike
and Pepsi. His consumer-centric
strategy model, rooted in deep

Skymint CEO Steps Down
Jeff Radway, the chair and CEO
of Michigan marijuana retailer and
cultivator Skymint, stepped down
only weeks after the financially
strapped company was placed
under receivership.

Operations Executive
Cannabis-focused human resources
software company Wurk promoted
Jennifer Meadows to chief
operating officer. Meadows started
with Wurk in January 2020, holding
operational roles such as director
of implementation and director of
operations.
Before Wurk, Meadows held
senior human resources posts at
various companies, including more
than three years with financial
services firm Rehman and almost 17
years with LaFarge, a construction
materials company.
Green Thumb Industries
Appoints Nadelmann to Board
Green Thumb Industries, a
national cannabis consumer
packaged goods company and
owner of Rise Dispensaries,
announced that Ethan
Nadelmann was appointed
to its board of directors as an
independent director and member
of the compensation committee.
Nadelmann is the founder of both
the Drug Policy Alliance, where he
served as executive director from
2000 to 2017, and The Lindesmith
receivership in March, after it was
sued by a Canadian investment
company claiming it owed more
than $100 million.
In a concurrent lawsuit, New York
investment firm Merida Capital
Holdings filed a complaint in Oakland
County Circuit Court alleging
that Green Peak Innovations, operating
as Skymint, misrepresented
its financial standing and was
mismanaged.
RS BioTherapeutics
Appoints Hart as CEO
Cumberland, Maryland-based
RS BioTherapeutics, which looks to
harness the therapeutic power of
cannabinoids, announced that it
appointed pharmaceutical industry
veteran Dean Hart as chief
executive officer.
Hart has 40 years of
biopharmaceutical experience,
including positions at Eisai and
Takeda Pharmaceuticals North
America. He also runs consulting
firm CommEx Consulting.
