February reported a shake-up to
its board of directors.
The board shake-up is related
to the company's advancement
of its Canopy USA strategy,
according to a news release.
Robert Hanson resigned
from Canopy's board and was
replaced by Willy Kruh and Luc
Mongeau.
Kruh is listed as the
current CEO of PlantExt, a
pharmaceutical cannabis
formulation company based in
Toronto. He is a CPA, and his bio
at PlantExt describes him as an
auditor, adviser and consultant
with expertise in audit, tax,
risk, governance and M&A. He
previously served as the global
chair for KPMG's consumermarkets
practice.
Canopy said Mongeau has
decades of experience leading
consumer packaged goods
companies, including Mars,
Mars Petcare and Weston
Foods. Mongeau is listed as the
president and CEO of eSolutions
Furniture, which said he joined
the company in September 2022.

Exit MedMen
Ellen Deutsch Harrison, CEO
of Los Angeles-based marijuana
multistate operator MedMen
Enterprises, stepped down from
the post Jan. 19. She joined the
company in July 2023, replacing
interim CEO Edward Record.
Harrison is being replaced by
Richard Ormond, a Los Angelesbased
attorney with expertise
in finance and banking as well
as cannabis regulations who
will serve as chief restructuring
officer, the company said.
Separately, Michael Serruya,
the company's board chair,
departed his position on Jan. 24,
MedMen said in a filing with
the U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission. He had been chair
since 2021 and served as interim
CEO from November 2021 to
April 2022.
BZAM Announces
CFO's Departure
Vancouver, British Columbiabased
cannabis company BZAM
announced that Chief Financial
Officer Sean Bovingdon will be
leaving his position on April 30
to pursue other opportunities.
BZAM's search for a new CFO is
underway.
Bovingdon also stepped down
from BZAM's board of directors.
CEO Matt Milich will join the
board as a management representative
to fill the vacancy.

Finance Vet Kim
Hired as Stiiizy CFO
Los Angeles-based cannabis
company Stiiizy appointed Isaac
Kim to the post of chief financial
officer.
Kim has nearly two decades
of financial experience,
including roles in investment
banking, private equity and
public accounting. Most
recently, Kim was CFO at
FirstElement Fuel, a venture
capital-backed, clean-energy
startup, where he oversaw
accounting, capital raises,
corporate development and
strategic planning.
At FirstElement Fuel, Kim
was responsible for raising
approximately $400 million in
debt and equity to expand
operations, growing head count
from 15 to 130 employees and
spearheading the company's
IPO preparedness. Kim
earned a bachelor's degree in
economics and accounting from
the University of California,
Irvine.
