Guyatt Resigns as Phoena CEO
Corné Melissen was appointed
interim CEO for Canadian cannabis
producer Phoena, after Greg
Guyatt resigned from the position
" to pursue new challenges, "
according to the Vaughan, Ontariobased
cannabis company.
Melissen is the owner of
Phoena's lead investor, Kenzoll
B.V., a Netherlands-based private
equity investment company. Guyatt
had been CEO since early 2020,
when the company was still called
CannTrust Holdings.
Researcher of the Year'
Joins Charlotte's Web
Charlotte's Web Holdings, a major
player in cannabidiol and hemp
extracts, appointed Marcel BonnMiller,
Ph.D., as its chief scientific
officer.
Before joining Charlotte's Web,
Bonn-Miller served four years
at Canadian marijuana company
Canopy Growth Corp., most recently
as vice president of human and
animal research. Bonn-Miller
also held positions as director of
cannabinoid research at Zynerba
Pharmaceuticals, adjunct assistant
professor at the University of
Pennsylvania Perelman School
of Medicine, and health science
specialist at the Department
of Veterans Affairs in Palo Alto,
California.

lead the Charlotte's Web's research
and development portfolio, including
new product development,
pre-clinical and clinical research,
scientific regulatory support and
alternative botanical wellness.
He will build upon the company's
existing safety and toxicology data
and interface with the FDA's science
teams to support regulatory pathways
for hemp/CBD extracts.
Bonn-Miller has published
more than 150 research papers on
cannabinoid science, co-authored
three patents related to the use
of cannabidiol in the treatment
of psychological illnesses and
serves on the editorial boards of a
number of scientific journals. He is
also the recipient of the Researcher
of the Year award from Americans
for Safe Access.

Grants, New Mexico-based
Bright Green Corp., which has
conditional approval to grow
cannabis for research, promoted
Chief Operating Officer Seamus
McAuley as its new CEO. McAuley
succeeds Terry Rafih, who will
retain his role as executive chair of
the board of directors.
McAuley has held several global
senior leadership positions, most
recently serving as CEO of U.K.based
pharmaceutical company
Alterola Biotech, which is focused
on developing cannabinoid and
cannabinoid-like products.
Bright Green is retaining a search
firm to recruit other new executive
roles.
iAnthus Announces
Board Resignation
iAnthus Capital Holdings, which
owns, operates and partners with
regulated cannabis operations
across the United States, announced
that Zachary Arrick resigned
from the board of directors. Arrick
joined the board in June 2022, upon
completion of iAnthus' previously
announced recapitalization
transaction.

Chief Strategic Officer
Kirkland, Washington-based
payment and point-of-sale
platform POSaBIT Systems Corp.
appointed Chris Baker to the new
role of chief strategic officer.
Baker has more than 20 years
of leadership experience, most
recently serving as vice president
of technology and innovation at
Genius Avenue, a fintech startup.

Installs Executives
Canadian marijuana producer
Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp.
announced that it promoted Eoin
Hegarty to chief operating officer
(COO) and Cory Larsen to chief
commercial officer.
Dan Phaure will retain his
position as chief financial officer,
following his resignation from the
role of COO.
Hegarty and Larsen are current
employees of Heritage, and their
promotions reflect their work to
advance the company's expansion
strategy across Canada and into the
United States.
