Kristi Noem issued an executive order that indicated she is behind the effort to overturn voter-approved recreational cannabis legalization. Noem said the recreational marijuana ballot initiative approved by voters in November " violated the procedures set forth in the South Dakota Constitution " by dealing with more than one subject. Additionally, the State Bar of South Dakota ethics committee warned attorneys in the state against taking marijuana businesses as clients. Vermont The state will be conducting contactless inspections of hemp operators to limit person-to-person contact during the coronavirus pandemic. The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets said the inspections will begin with a phone call, followed by an email and an online form to gather information about the number of harvested lots, yields, results of contaminant testing and more.
