Industry Pioneer Returns to Company He Founded
Longtime cannabis executive Kris Krane is rejoining 4Front
Ventures, the multistate marijuana company he co-founded, as
a member of the board of directors.
Krane was president of Arizona-based 4Front and Mission
Dispensaries before stepping down in 2021. At the time, 4Front
said Krane would " continue to serve as a strategic advisor. "
In a statement announcing Krane's board appointment,
4Front CEO Leo Gontmakher said Krane " has been one of the
most strategic pioneers within the cannabis industry and an
indispensable asset to 4Front.
" Kris' in-depth knowledge of our business and extensive
experience as a strategic consultant across the global cannabis
industry will continue to benefit us as we continue to scale and
shape the future of the sector, " Gontmakher added.
After departing 4Front, Krane worked as director of cannabis
development for KCSA Strategic Communications.
Changes at Columbia Care
Multistate operator Columbia
Care announced that co-founder
Michael Abbott was transitioning
from executive chair to chair of the
board of directors.
Abbott co-founded Columbia Care
with CEO Nicholas Vita in 2012 and
helped build the company into one
of the largest multistate medical
and adult-use cannabis providers.
In his role as board chair, Abbott
will remain involved in company
oversight and governance.

Ayyar
Kris Krane
co-founder, Alejandro Bergad, who
will remain on Sunsoil's leadership
team as its chief vision officer and
member of the board of directors.
Ayyar joined the company in 2020
with a background in e-commerce,
marketing and strategy. Before
Sunsoil, he was the general manager
of Simple Contacts, a direct-toconsumer
telemedicine startup,
and the CEO and co-founder of
Conductor, a mobile transportation
app startup. He is a graduate of
Yale University and the Stanford
Graduate School of Business.
Hemp and CBD Brand Sunsoil
Appoints New CEO
Burlington, Vermont-based Sunsoil,
a certified organic hemp farm
and CBD brand, announced the
appointment of Bharat Ayyar as
CEO. Ayyar succeeds the company's

Organigram Appoints
New Board Member
British American Tobacco (BAT)
designated attorney Caroline
Ferland as a member of the
Organigram Holdings board of
directors. BAT is a major investor
in Organigram, a cannabis license
holder based in New Brunswick,
Canada. Ferland's appointment
brings Organigram's board to 10
directors.
As the first group head of
business conduct and compliance
for BAT, Ferland led the design and
implementation of BAT's global
compliance and ethics program.
Previously, she chaired the board of
directors of the Quebec Branch of
the Canadian Bar Association and of
the Centre d'accès à l'information
juridique.
Ferland also served as a director
on other boards, such as the MarieVincent
Foundation, the Barreau
du Québec and the Barreau de
Montréal. She is a chartered director
and recognized administrateur de
sociétés certifié.

Gets New CFO
Red White & Bloom Brands
appointed Edoardo (Eddie) Mattei
as chief financial officer.
Mattei started with Red White &
Bloom in December in a " fractional
role to assist with the orderly transition
and timely restructuring of
the company's finance, information
technology and human resources
teams, " according to a news release
from the company. He assumed the
role of CFO on March 15.
Before joining Red White & Bloom,
Mattei spent nearly three years
as CFO with DCL Corp., a Torontobased
company that supplies color
