The state earned roughly $5.8 million in total licensing and application fees collected from cannabis cultivators, dispensaries, laboratories, processors and transporters through Sept. 19, according to multistate government news website The Center Square. Mississippi's medical marijuana industry will be subject to a 5% excise tax on wholesale sales from growers to dispensaries as well as a 7% tax on retail sales. The state's licensing process began this summer, but sales aren't expected to launch until later this year. Missouri A voter initiative to legalize adult-use marijuana in Missouri will appear on the state's Nov. 8 ballot. The Missouri Supreme Court decided not to take up a case seeking to keep Amendment 3, the adultuse initiative, off the ballot. The high court's decision followed a Sept. 9 ruling by a Cole County judge to dismiss a lawsuit that sought to block Amendment 3, which asks voters to legalize recreational cannabis. A recent poll by Remington Research Group and Missouri Scout indicates that 43% of Missourians are in favor of the adult-use constitutional amendment and 47% against.https://eyehortilux.com/grow-lights-for-higher-quality-plants/?utm_source=MJBiz&utm_medium=Nov-Dec+Issue&utm_campaign=2022+Print+Ad
