Italian high-performance projector maker
SIM2 is celebrating its 30th anniversary
this year with several initiatives that will
generate further business opportunities for its partners
and that will be announced quarterly. SIM2's rich history
goes back to its fi rst CRT projector for home cinema
during the 1990s, the
HT200. More recently,
its CRYSTAL 4SH 4K
UHD hybrid laser-based
models were introduced
in 2021 for today's
theater capabilities.
DSP8000
Meridian has launched the DSP8000
Performance Pack, an upgrade kit for
customers' original DSP8000 loudspeakers.
The DSP8000 Performance Pack is the
second product from Meridian's Extreme
Engineering Program, and allows a
DSP8000 to be upgraded to a higher spec
that is said to deliver increased detail,
dynamics and fi delity. The upgrade pack
can be used with all models: DSP8000SE,
DSP8000.2, DSP8000 Anniversary
Edition and DSP8000.
French projection screen manufacturer Screen
Research has announced that it is the fi rst
screen supplier to receive certifi cation from
the Professional Video Alliance (PVA). The materials
for Screen Research's ClearPix, SolidPix, and FusionPix
series of screens were featured as part of the Adeo
Group's exhibit
at ISE 2023. PVA
tests products to
ensure they meet
all manufacturer
specs and perform
under reference and
other demanding
conditions.
4K & 8K
Savant has partnered
with Sony and Megapixel
to help integrators
deliver state-of-the-art, large-scale 4K and 8K video
experiences. Through the partnership, dealers can purchase
Sony ES Home Cinema Laser Projector series via the
Savant Store, and the company is providing preconfi gured
system packages from
Megapixel, which range
from 106 to 212 inches in
highly customizable confi
gurations. Integrators
also benefi t from onsite
installation services.

Lyngdorf Audio has introduced a new HDMI
2.1 module for its digital stereo amplifi er, the
TDAI-3400. The Danish company says its
fl agship model TDAI-3400 has always been available with
optional modules for analog sources including phono, as
well as for HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0. For new TDAI-3400
amps and customers upgrading their existing TDAI-3400,
the module
has two HDMI
inputs to connect
sources and one
HDMI output/
ARC connection
for the TV.

At ISE 2023 in Barcelona,
Screen Innovations (SI)
previewed its Solo 3
designer projection screen cassette product line. SI says
the Solo 3 introduces a new design-forward option for
both indoor and outdoor entertainment, rounding out the
company's portfolio of screen solutions. It replaces the
old SI 3 and 5 series,
off ering cassettes in
sizes 375, 575 and 675
with a form factor
of a visually fl awless
unit with no typical
demarcations of the
end caps.
