Manufacturers Offer Up WFH Solutions
SEVERAL KEY manufacturers
are responding to the
growing WFH trend. Savant
entered the space earlier this
year with the announcement
of the integration of Zoom
Rooms into its ecosystem.
With Savant's Zoom Rooms
integration, a Savant Scene
and applicable audio/video
services can automatically
launch each time a meeting is
started. For example, at the
start of each meeting, lights
can dim or brighten based on
time of day, shades can be adjusted,
background audio can
be paused and more - all
seamlessly part of beginning a
Zoom meeting. And once the
conference has concluded,
Savant will return the room
to its prior state, automatically
restarting music or other
programming that had been
paused for the meeting.
For its part, Crestron has
bundled Zoom with Logitech
into its new Crestron HomeTime
solution that includes
home control, video and unifi
ed communications (UC) all
in a single package. HomeTime
supports the ability to initiate
or call into unifi ed communication
sessions of any size
in any room of a user's home.
The system streamlines the
same experience in the home
Savant has fully integrated Zoom Rooms into its ecosystem to enable smart home functions to
deploy immediately when a video conference starts.
as a person would have in a
commercial setting, allowing
the WFH employee to use
his or her TV as part of the
solution. HomeTime includes
Logitech's MeetUp conference
camera, Crestron's UC engine
that integrates into the Home
platform and Zoom Rooms
software.
Meanwhile, commercial-based
Poly is also stepping
up with a WFH solution.
The company's P5 Studio
Crestron's HomeTime bundle includes home control, video and unifi ed communications.
Kit provides users with
" ready-to-work " solutions
that supports the bundling
of its P5 Studio Camera with
a selection of headsets. The
solutions also work with
Poly's portable Poly Sync
speaker phone. This solution
pairs the Poly Studio P5
Webcam, along with users'
choice of a Poly headset or
Poly Sync portable speaker
phone. Poly adds that users
can choose between four out
of the box combinations with
or without cabling from the
Voyager and Poly Blackwire
families of products.
